 President's
Message |
|
Thank
you Las Vegas Northwest Rotary Club for all your support
on my first meeting! I look forward
to seeing all your smiling faces each Tuesday morning
for the next Rotary year.
Would
You Like to Become a Rotarian?
It was a busy first day on the job...and we
accomplished quite a lot. Our
speaker,
Barbara Risher-Welch, Past District Governor,
gave us a wealth of information and ideas on how to
build Membership.
It does take all of us to bring in new members,
so please ASK someone you
may know if they would like to be your guest at our club
for a breakfast meeting. Please introduce
them as your guest and not as a potential member until
approved by the Board. The Membership
Committee is coming up with some new and exciting ideas
for Membership growth, which you will be hearing about
soon.
We held our first Board Meeting for the new
year in which the Board voted to change the name of our
club to " Rotary Club of Las Vegas Summerlin". The membership
will be asked to vote on this at our meeting on July
27th, so please plan on attending.
Successful clubs usually hold their first
assembly sometime during the first month of the new
Rotary year.
These meetings are for all Rotarians during which
club officers, directors, and committee chairs discuss
upcoming programs, activities, calendar, and plans for
the upcoming year.
We are scheduled for July 27th at our
regular meeting.
Diane Cabral, President
2010-2011

On the Lite
Side
One day God was talking to Adam and he
said "Adam you look lonely, I know I'll give you a woman
but it will cost you an arm and a leg."
Adam said
" what can I get for a rib?"
The rest is
history.
