September 30: Las Vegas Natural History Museum - The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is a private, non-profit institution dedicated to educating children and families in the natural sciences, both past and present. Through its interactive exhibits, educational programs and the preservation of its collections, the Museum strives to instill an understanding and appreciation of the world's wildlife, ecosystems and cultures.  Marilyn Gillespie, the museum's Executive Director, will give the club an update on what's old, what's new, and what to look forward to.

October 30: Caldron-Side Chat - To celebrate Halloween, the Sligar's are offering to host a costume party later in the month in place of the regular Fireside.  Sort of like the pool parties we've had where swimsuits were optional, costumes (called "masking" in New Orleans), though not mandatory, are strongly encouraged.
