    April 20-21, District Assembly
    May 24, District 5300 Conference

    Last Week's Program
    Michael Flint

Four Way Test: Michael Flint, in his usual knock-out style, put together a most thought-provoking program, asking members what THEY would do and how THEY would apply the Four Way Test to some tough situations. About the only thing we all agreed upon was that personal safety considerations probably trump the Four Way Test when dealing with an armed bank robber.

    Visiting Rotarians and Guests
    Empty Chair

There's no fellowship in an empty chair.
Your guests and visiting Rotarians help kindle the flame of fellowship.

Liz de Nesnera, Pompton Lakes NJ.

    President's Message
    Pres Cliff

"Can personal friendships grow into national friendships in such manner as to promote the interests of peace?...
Yes, but it is a dream that we can make come true. Our confidence must never falter. I believe that there is justification for our faith, in the lives of great men such as these, who were faithful to their trusts, who could be friendly, and who were "what they seemed."

    Paul Harris The Rotarian 1925

    Avenues of Service

New Members: It was particularly gratifying to be able to induct 4 (count ‘em – four) new members to our club this week. New members bring diversity of skills to our club. The new members are Judith Filangeri, Shawn Spanier, Chris Carson, and Guy Lynch.

Proposed Member: Andrew Schick has been nominated for membership in our club. For information, contact Darrell.

Singing: Did we mention that we have waaay too much fun!!!

Fund Raising: Spring Fest at the SunCoast this past Saturday was a great party. Thank you, everybody, for your efforts on the club’s behalf.

Got Chips? The Rotary Club of Gunnison, Colorado is planning a new fund raiser, a poker tournament, for later this summer. They need chips. Jeff Walker, a member of Gunnison Rotary, writes to ask if anyone with contacts to casinos that know of any place that might be willing to donate “retired” chips or even sell them at a reasonable price. Click here to email Jeff .

    Rotary Information

The Club Leadership Plan is the recommended administrative structure for Rotary clubs. It is based on the best practices of effective Rotary clubs. For best practices click here.

In-coming President Joe Germaine encouraged all officers, chairs, and directors to attend the district training on April 21st at the District Assembly. Rotary International is strongly encouraging clubs to change their management structure to the Club Leadership Plan.
