Last Week's Program |
Craft Talks Dennis Filangeri, a Certified Financial
Planner, spoke about his work developing web-based educational
material for financial professionals and his double life as
Alfredo Fettucini, magician extrordinaire.
Diane Cabral was craftily introduced by Michael Flynn. Her
work as an interior designer was much overshadowed by her
preference for dressing up as Catwoman on Halloween.

Also, our normal October 24th meeting will be replaced by a
meeting the previous day, October 23rd, at 6 p.m. at the Main
Street Station with the West Club, the Southwest Club and the
Las Vegas Club. This change is to accommodate our special

the tickets go to our club.

Service Projects |

NALA Project:
Paul W. reports that our NALA project kicked off with a
meeting at the facility. The NALA staff is so excited they
barely know how to thank us. As we will not be able to meet at
TPC on the 10th due to the Fry’s Invitational Golf Tournament,
NALA will host another breakfast for us at 7:15 am in their
dining room on October 10th. The project team will have its
meeting at 8:30 following the regular meeting.
Rotarians Abroad:
We received an email from Rick Amadio regarding his return
to Myanmar and his involvement in a project with the Eastern
Bible Institute in Yangon.

INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION - UTAH:
All of us should have received our Rotarian Magazine with
information on the international convention in June of next
year. You can make room reservations on line but they are
filling up fast. Of the forty + hotels reserved for us, only
four still had rooms available on the dates requested by one
member. If you are even thinking of going, you should make a
reservation ASAP! [Editor's Note: you can often reserve at
the desired hotel where the block of rooms reserved for Rotary
show no availability by booking on one of the usual Internet
sites.]
