Last week’s meeting, arranged by Bobby Gronauer, was at the National Association of Latin Americans (NALA) pre-school center. Good turn out (see impressive guest list below) and great breakfast, including home-baked goodies by our hosts. The school serves 2 to 6 year old kids of working parents seeking a safe, family-oriented learning environment for their children. Their playground badly needs new equipment and safety upgrades. They’re looking for financial and hands-on help .

Judith Filangeri came as Dennis Filangeri's guest. Sally Wexler came as Paul Wexler's guest. Kathy Gronauer and Nevada Supreme Court Justice Michael L. Douglas came as Bobby Gronauer's guests.

Many other guests and dignitaries from NALA and it's board also served as gracious hosts for our meeting and program. Special thanks to Teri De La Torre for helping make it a great success.

I wish everyone a happy Labor Day weekend and remind you all that we are dark on Tuesday, September 5th.

Las Vegas West Golf Tournament: One way we can grow our own fundraiser is to support other Rotary Club fundraisers throughout the year. Here is an opportunity to do just that. The Las Vegas West Club will be holding their annual golf tournament on Monday October 23rd. We would like to put together at a minimum a foursome, so far Cliff and Joe G. will be playing in it. It is a shotgun scramble so you don’t have to be great to have a good time and enjoy the game. Please let Joe Germain know at joe@s agebrushinvestigations.com
