Last week's meeting was the first official meeting of the year. Cliff started the year off by inducting this year's first new member, Dennis Filangeri. Cliff held his first club assembly to announce his board's goals for this Rotary year.

In keeping with this year's Rotary theme: Lead the Way, Cliff outlined his program for the year. His emphasis is to have every member to "get Rotary in you."

2007 is the Las Vegas Northwest Rotary Club's tenth anniversary. This is a very special year and we will celebrate it at an gala bash in the fall.

Your guests and visiting Rotarians help kindle the flame of fellowship

Judith Filangeri was a guest of Dennis Filangeri. Judith is a former Rotarian and past club president. She is a business partner in Core Business Enterprises.

District Governor-Christine Montan- is coming to Las Vegas, October 23rd. The event will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Street Station. Other Rotary Clubs will be there also. Mark your calendar. We will have a good time. We will be dark October 24th

Florence Hui had some good reasons to become a Rotarian.

"When children grow up, most of them will become parents. When Rotaractors grow up, will they become Rotarians? If Rotarians are the parents, the Rotaractors will be the next generation.... I kept wondering (about that) and I wondered more frequently when I was about to turn 30."
